OUR MISSION
Provide women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
SI/Friday Harbor (Northwestern Region) is the local club of a world-wide service organization. In addition to our Scholarships and Awards programs for local women and girls, our club supports the community through our main other programs including: Cancer Treatment Transportation Program, Food Security Support and a Women's Emergency Fund.

Apply now for up to a $4,000 monetary award
The award-winning live YOUR dream Awards program helps women who provide the primary financial support for their families gain the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.
Since 1972, Soroptimist have distributed more than $49 million in education grants through the live YOUR dream Awards program and helped over 47,000 women make a better life for themselves and their families. This award helps women in overcoming personal difficulties and bettering their lives through education and training. In addition to our local award, winning applicants may qualify for further funding from regional and international offices of Soroptimist.
The recipient may use the cash award to offset any costs of higher education, such as tuition, books, childcare, or transportation.
You are eligible to apply for this award if you:

are a woman with primary financial responsibility for yourself and your dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parents.
are enrolled in or have been accepted to an undergraduate degree program or a vocational skills training program*.
have financial need.
